Our History
Over 98 years ago, Frank Bergandi, an Italian immigrant, created America’s first automated chain link weaver, founding Bergandi Machinery. In the mid-1950s, master machinist Herb Rohrbacher joined, enhancing productivity and expanding product lines. By 1961, Rohrbacher owned the company, diversifying into wire drawing, galvanizing, and more. In 1994, Bergandi refocused its efforts solely on the design, marketing, and manufacturing of wire processing machinery. In 2001, Scott Barsotti acquired Bergandi and became CEO, emphasizing customer service, innovation, and technology. Today, Bergandi is a world-class machinery leader, that expanded operations from a 25,000 sqft facility in Ontario, California, to a new 45,000 sqft facility in Redlands, California. With 98 years of expertise, we offer a wide range of wire forming, processing, and welding equipment for the fencing, construction, mining, and agricultural industries. We also offer engineering, consulting, technical support, and training to improve your productivity and profitability.

Scott acquired Bergandi Machinery in August 2001, revitalizing its position as a leading manufacturer in the wire industry. Under Scott’s leadership, Bergandi has become a global leader in machinery design and manufacturing, serving over 65 countries across six continents. Scott has cultivated strong relationships with domestic and international companies in the wire industry. His mission is to drive technological advancements in the product line, aiming to enhance production capacity and reduce customers’ operating costs.
William Rodriguez
Technical Sales
William provides sales and technical support for the sales department and is a primary contact for customer inquiries. He has worked at Bergandi Machinery since 1990, has historical knowledge of different systems, and has a strong background in electrical engineering. William’s strengths are also found in both training and equipment installation.
